The SN65HVD230 controller is a network (CAN) transceiver, specifically designed to be used with the Texas Instruments TMS320Lx240xTM 3.3-V DSP (with CAN controller) or with equivalent devices. Each CAN transceiver is designed to provide differential transmit capability to the bus and differential receive capability to the CAN controller, with a maximum transmission speed of up to 1 Mbps. The device is designed to operate in extremely harsh environments and features cross-line protection, ground fault and overvoltage protection, overtemperature protection, and a wide common-mode range.

📌 Pin Description
- 3V3: Connect to the positive terminal of the 3.3V power supply
- GND: Connect to the negative terminal of the power supply
- CTX: CAN controller data transmission input
- CRX: CAN bus data reception output
- CANH: CAN bus high (high-level CAN voltage input/output)
- CANL: CAN bus low (low-level CAN voltage input/output)
🔧 Work mode and control logic
The SN65HVD230 has three different operating modes: high-speed, slope, and standby. Its operating mode can be controlled through the Rs control pin.
The Tx output pin of the CAN controller connects to the data input pin D of the SN65HVD230 to send node data to CAN network; the Rx receiving pin of the CAN controller connects to the data output pin R of the SN65HVD230 for data receiving.
The mode selection port Rs connects via a jumper and a slope resistor (0~100kΩ potentiometer) with one end grounded, enabling hardware selection of three working modes.
