Overview
This AC-DC switching power supply module series provides a compact, efficient solution for converting mains AC voltage into stable regulated DC output. Covering output voltages from 5V, 12V, 24V up to 36V with current ratings from 300mA to 8A, the series caters to a wide range of power requirements. Both bare PCB versions and enclosed wired versions are available to suit different installation scenarios.
Built with high-frequency switching topology, these modules deliver high conversion efficiency with low heat generation. Working Principle
The module operates on a high-frequency switching power supply architecture:
- Input Rectification & Filtering: AC mains voltage (100–240VAC) is first rectified by a bridge rectifier and filtered by electrolytic capacitors into high-voltage DC.
- High-Frequency Switching: A PWM controller drives a power MOSFET to chop the high-voltage DC into a high-frequency square-wave signal.
- High-Frequency Transformer: The high-frequency AC passes through a ferrite-core transformer that steps down the voltage while providing galvanic isolation between primary and secondary sides.
- Output Rectification & Filtering: The stepped-down high-frequency AC is rectified by fast-recovery diodes and filtered by low-ESR capacitors into smooth, clean DC output.
- Feedback Regulation: The output voltage is sampled and fed back to the PWM controller via an optocoupler, which automatically adjusts the switching duty cycle to maintain a constant, stable output voltage under varying load conditions.
